A CAST AWAY, LUXURY EXPERIENCE.
Located on a beautiful deserted island in the south Caribbean Nicaragua. Calala Island is nestled in the undiscovered Pearl Keys, completely filled with coconuts, white sand, crystal clear waters, low grass, and mangroves.
During the design process our team focused in creating a Robinson Crusoe luxury experience, one that would make the guests feel as if they had been washed up on this beautiful island. The structures where designed to make the guests think that they had been built by the local people, using only resources found in the island. Coconuts go through the roofs, thatches come from the local palm trees on the island, and lamps where design based on the lobster traps used by local fisherman, creating a cast away feeling in every space.
Each of the suites was carefully designed and created with local materials and inspired by the Caribbean culture. All private and public areas are lying directly along the beach using sustainable materials and local artisans.
