Joined Simplemente Madera in 2004 submerging from the beginning with furniture design which passionate him immediately. During his first years in Simplemente Madera he started drawing and sketching anything he could.
Painting and sketching are always been his passion and gift. His design school influences have been the Modern Design with simple and functional lines mixed with the Arts & Crafts movement which celebrates the fact that every single piece of furniture is a piece of art. He is one of the designers in charge of creating new pieces for the regular Simplemente Madera catalogue as well as developing specific custom made pieces based on every customer needs. According to Gustavo; designing with wood must be something that celebrates the beauty of the natural resources, and that there are never two identical pieces.
